1. Cleaning maize
Maize is mixed with various organic and inorganic impurities. Before making maize grits and flour, these impurities must be cleaned up to ensure the normal production process and product purity. The cleaned maize shall not contain more than 0.03% dust and impurities, and the sand and gravel shall not exceed 0.02%. The cleaning equipment includes vibro separator,gravity de-stone machine magnetic separator, etc.
2. Dampener system
The purpose of corn dehydration is to increase the toughness of the epidermis, reduce the breakage rate of the epidermis during the peeling process, and facilitate peeling. At the same time, maize embryos absorb water and expand, making their texture tough and less prone to breakage under mechanical force, in order to improve the efficiency of embryo extraction. The amount of water should be determined based on the moisture content of the raw maize.
3.Peeling and Degerminator
The purpose of this section is to break the maize into maize grits while causing the maize embryo to fall off. The commonly used devices are peeling machines, polishing machines, and hammer mill.
4. Milling and sieving of maize
This part is the grinding and screening section of maize flour, which grinds maize grits into fine flour that meets the market requirements. The commonly used machines are the roller mill and the square plansifter.
5. Packing and storage
This step can package maize products into different weight packaging bags according to market demand. If necessary, maize flour or maize grits tank can be added.
